Neodymium arc magnet is a special shape of rare earth magnets, neodymium sector magnets also called neodymium arc magnets, which are made of block magnets by wire cutting. This neodymium arc magnet has a wide range of applications, it is commonly used in generator magnets, motor magnets, rotors and stators of permanent magnet motors, and wind turbines.
Neodymium arc magnets are known as segmented magnets and curved magnets. Arc neodymium magnets are characterized by high remanence, high coercivity and high energy. Commonly used neodymium arc magnets for radial flux motors are magnetized in the radial direction and are used in absolute pairs. Fan-arc magnets are commonly used as axial flux motor magnets.
For some axial flux motors, a certain number of string magnetization magnets should be placed between the regular axial magnetization magnets to form a Hellbeck array to obtain a more desirable magnetic field strength and distribution.
